LOCATION: St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is located in downtown Martinsburg at the corner of N. Queen St and W. Martin Street 2 blocks North of the city square. A map can be found below.

Youth Group (FLYTE) This popular program is for youth from elementary through high school.
Women’s Groups There are three groups for all ages of women emphasizing different programs and interests.
Bible Studies These are held on Sunday morning at 10:00AM and on Wednesdays at 1:00PM.
Arts and Crafts
Fellowship  Evenings
Vacation Bible School
Catechetical Classes (Membership training classes for 8th and 9th grades)

THE MUSTARD SEED
St. John’s Child Care Center. This early learning center is a program of the church and is open to children ages 2-5 years. Monday thru Friday 6:30am – 6:00pm Hot Meals and Snacks provided. The Program and Staff Comply with all State Educational Codes and Requirements. Located at: 101 W. Martin Street, Martinsburg (304) 263-9291

CHURCH OFFICE HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30-2:30PM (Office at 101 W. Martin St.)

PARKING: There is a small parking lot by the Luther Hall (our Sunday School Building) on Martin Street. There is also a City parking lot one block East of the church on E. Martin Street. Plenty of parking is available on the streets on Sundays.  Handicap parking is available on the Martin Street side of the church on Sunday mornings.

OUR FACILITIES ARE HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE : There is an elevator available to provide access for anyone who is handicapped or just in need of a “lift” for services. The Congregational Council is in the process of obtaining better signage to welcome and direct you, but in the meantime, we hope this web page will be helpful. Handicap parking is available on the Martin Street side of the church on Sunday mornings.

The elevator is located just inside the double green doors on the Martin Street side of the church

Just inside the green doors on the left is the elevator door.
There is also a stair well to the right of the elevator that leads to the Narthex. The call button is on the right door jamb.
After entering the elevator cab, please note that the door must be closed tight and the folding door secured.

(There is a light switch on the elevator cab panel) The elevator panel is labeled:    
Entrance #2 – This is the street level  
Church  #3 – This  moves the elevator up the  North Narthex at the entrance to the Church Nave.
Chapel # 1 – This move the elevator to the bottom level where you will find the Chapel, Choir robing rooms and the bathrooms.

BATHROOMS:  The bathrooms are handicapped accessible and are located on the lower floor on the west side of the Chapel room adjacent to the water fountain. (There are also bathrooms in Luther Hall at 101 W. Martin St.)  The lower floor may be reached by from the elevator (Button #1 CHAPEL) or by proceeding down any of the stairs from the Church.
