Hospital Visitation
Because of recent enactment of privacy legislation there will no longer be lists of hospital patients for pastors to see during their visitations. The is no longer any way for pastors to know who from their congregations are patients. It has become imperative that you please contact either the pastor or the church office about your intended stay in the hospital. Otherwise there will be no way to know of your hospitalization. Thank you for your help!
What Is St. John’s Prayer Chain?
It is a wonderful opportunity to help someone we may or may not know! Participation in the Prayer Chain allows us an opportunity to remember someone who has a special need. When a person wishes to become a Prayer Chain member her or his name is placed on a list. As prayer requests are received you will be called with names of people to be remembered and in turn you will call the next person on the Prayer Chain. All you are asked to do is include these people in your daily prayers. What a wonderful way to help someone. Won’t you join us? Call Linda Riley if you are interested. If you have a prayer request call Betty Kief.
Need for USHERS …..
We have an urgent need for ushers for the 11:00 a.m. service. Presently our ushers are serving approximately one Sunday per month. This frequency is due to the decreasing number of ushers on our roster. You will be instructed on what is expected of you in this service..
For further information and to add your name to this service, please call Molly Harpel , or the Church Office – 263-9291. May 2005
IN CASE OF SNOW
Cancellations will be announced over WRNR (740AM) and on the church’s telephone system (dial the church number 263-9291 as usual and wait for the message). Of course, they will be posted here on St. John’s webpage.
