Operations: Care Packages for Deployed Soldiers
4/19/12 Email from Shay McNeil:
I met with several ladies of Women in the Fast Lane this past Sunday and we decided to do Operation: Care packages for Deployed Soldiers. Attached is a flyer that Susie Smith asked me to create to add to the newsletter. I would appreciate it if you could include it in the newsletter and upcoming Church bulletin announcements. Over the next several weeks we will be collecting items to put in care packages that will be sent to soldiers (several of whom I am personally friends with) of the 42nd Clearance Company that is currently deployed in Afghanistan. I will be making a box where people can leave their donated items. This box can be placed outside the sanctuary during Church services or left in the Church's lounge/library. We will collect items through May 21st, and at that time we will package everything up and send it out in honor of Memorial Day.
Thanks so much and God bless!
Shay
